Process flow of cold rolled stainless steel strip

Cold-rolled stainless steel strip is produced from hot-rolled coils through cold rolling, resulting in a smooth, bright surface and precise thickness.

Cold-rolled stainless steel strip production process:

Raw black coil – bell-type annealing furnace – hot coil continuous annealing and pickling line – grinding unit – 12-roll mill/20-roll mill – cold coil continuous annealing and pickling line/vertical continuous bright annealing line – fine grinding and polishing unit – skin-passing unit – straightening and recoiling unit – finished cold-rolled stainless steel coil

The purpose of annealing stainless steel strip is to optimize the mechanical properties of the stainless steel.

The purpose of pickling stainless steel strip is to remove the oxide layer (commonly known as iron scale) formed on the steel strip surface during hot rolling and annealing, passivate the stainless steel surface, and improve its corrosion resistance.
