How strong is the load-bearing capacity of industrial aluminum profiles?

Specification Differences: The load-bearing ranges of aluminum profiles of different specifications vary significantly. For example, the load-bearing range of 3030 industrial aluminum profiles is typically between 120 kg and 300 kg, making them suitable for lightweight frame structures. Meanwhile, the load-bearing range of 4040 aluminum profiles is around 500 kg, the load-bearing range of 6060 aluminum profiles is approximately 1000 kg, and the load-bearing range of 8080 aluminum profiles is up to 1500 kg. These data indicate that larger aluminum profiles have greater load-bearing capacity.

Influence of Connection Method: The connection method has a significant impact on load-bearing capacity. For example, when using built-in connectors, 3030 industrial aluminum profiles can bear a load of approximately 150 kg; however, when connected with hex socket bolts or angle fittings, the load-bearing capacity can be increased to 300 kg. This demonstrates that choosing high-strength connection methods, such as hex socket bolts or angle fittings, can effectively improve the load-bearing capacity of aluminum profile frames. Frame Structure Optimization: A reasonable frame structure design can significantly improve load-bearing capacity. For example, with a properly designed frame, the load-bearing capacity of 3030 industrial aluminum profiles can be increased from 250 kg to 300 kg. This demonstrates that by optimizing the frame structure, such as increasing the number of profile columns or adopting a multi-layer structure, the overall load-bearing capacity can be increased without changing the profile specifications.

Relationship between Profile Weight Per Meter and Load-Bearing Capacity: A profile’s weight per meter is closely related to its load-bearing capacity. For example, among the six specifications of 3030 aluminum profiles, the national standard 3030 profile has a weight per meter of 1.14 kg/m and the highest load-bearing capacity; whereas the lightweight 3030 profile has a lighter weight per meter and a relatively lower load-bearing capacity. This indicates that profiles with a higher weight per meter generally have a higher load-bearing capacity.
